years of relentless
dedication to Nibo’s growth
The idea to form a club was conceived and midwifed on April 24th, 2016 at burial of late of Sir Herbert Chiaghana at Umuanum Village, Nibo. A small group of close childhood friends (the founding members), five in number, had sat together and decided to form a ‘WhatsApp’ group that will help them stay in touch and updated on events happening around the lives of each other.
The name ‘GOOD FELLAS’ from the epic movie featuring Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro was adopted, mostly to denote the deep sense of commitment to friendship and loyalty as showcased in the movie, that the founding members wished to depict.
Eventually, the number of members swelled, as friends invited more friends and more friends were admitted into the group. On June 25th, 2016, Good Fellas had its first meeting and an agenda was adopted to formally register the club and draw a constitution that will guide and govern the activities of the club members.
GOOD FELLAS INTERNATIONAL CLUB, NIBO is a Private Membership Club open only to Nibo indigenes both at home and in the diaspora. We are a club formed by friends, of friends and for friends.
